How to setup custom ringtone in android 2.2 without any app

If you are familiar with andorid 2.2 then you may know that there is no facility to setup custom ringtone, you can setup only default system ringtones. There are many peoples or web resources who present solution of this problem by apps. Although this is good but not a better solution because you have to install an app to setup a custom ringtone. I search on the web for setting up custom ringtones without any app but i don't found any web for that so finally i decided to share this helpful trick to Digital Facts visiters.

You have to follow the following basic steps to setup custom ringtone without any app-

Step 1:
Open  'File Manager' from android system menu.

Step 2:
In 'File Manager' search for a folder called 'media' , if you found the folder (media) then there is no problem but if you not fonud that folder then you have to create a new folder called 'media'

Step 3:
Now open the 'media' folder.
Here search for a folder called 'audio' if you found that then there is no problem but if you not found that then you have to create a new folder called 'audio'

Step 4:
Now open the 'audio' folder.
Here search for a folder called 'ringtones' if you found that then there is no problem but if you not found that then you have to create a new folder called 'ringtones'

Step 5:
Now place all the audio files which you like to set as ringtone.

Step 6:
Now you have to do nothing much more but you can setup ringtones from Menu>Settings>Sound>Phone Ringtone> (Select your custom ringtone from here.)
Now your custom ringtone will work perfectly without any problem.

How to setup custom notification tone in android 2.2 without any app?

If you want to setup custom notification tone then you have to follow the steps from 1-3 after that you have to search a folder called 'notifications' , if you found that then you have to place you custom notification tone inside it. In case if you do not found that folder then you have to create a new folder called ' notifications' before placing custom notification tone.
